The final BREEAM scores for our new distribution center and the upgrade of our existing warehouse and headquarters were recently announced. Oldenburger|Fritom is proud to announce that these buildings in Veendam have also achieved an exceptionally high BREEAM Outstanding score.

Today, our colleague Erik Mekkes is celebrating his 20-year work anniversary at Oldenburger|Fritom. Over the past decades, Erik has shaped the strategy of our business unit Warehousing, VAS & E-Fulfilment.

After upgrading our existing warehouse to BREEAM In-Use Outstanding, we also had our existing office building in Veendam renovated to the highest sustainability standards. As with all our buildings, a strong focus was on ergonomics. In other words, an optimal working environment for our colleagues.

This afternoon, our CEO, René Dale, spoke with Sophie Hermans, outgoing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Climate and Green Growth, at the Veendam Town Hall. The topic of discussion was the BREEAM Outstanding certification of our logistics facilities in Veendam.

Our colleague Michel Tol is celebrating his 25-year work anniversary at Oldenburger|Fritom today. Michel works as a Shift Leader Warehouse within our business unit Warehousing, VAS & E-Fulfillment.

Yesterday, Oldenburger|Fritom shipped Green Falcon, the solar car of Top Dutch Solar Racing (TDSR), by air freight to Australia. The student team will participate in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge from August 24 to August 31.
