Earlier this year, our colleague Milko Dale followed the cargo surveyor training course at the Draeger Academy in the Dutch city of Zoetermeer. Last week, he obtained his diploma.
With a strong, global distribution network, Oldenburger|Fritom also provides customized sea freight solutions. Regardless of whether it concerns the import or export of an FCL (Full Container Load) or LCL (Less than Container Load).
To ensure the safety of our colleagues and the products of our customers, a gas measurement is performed on every incoming shipping container. The containers are subsequently degassed if the measurement indicates this, so that they can be opened safely.
Sustainable degassing and ventilation
Shipping containers can be degassed in various ways. At Oldenburger|Fritom, we prefer to do this by emission-free ventilation, also known as sustainable ventilation. This degassing method is very safe and fast.
Moreover, Oldenburger|Fritom has its own mobile ventilation unit. This allows for on-site degassing and ventilation in the Dutch provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. This saves a tremendous amount of time, allowing shipping containers to be unloaded much faster.
Team of cargo surveyors
Our team of cargo surveyors, of which Milko is now a member, is authorized to perform all the above-mentioned procedures. The cargo surveyor diploma is valid for 3 years, after which a re-exam must be taken.
Milko, congratulations on obtaining this diploma!
